June 03, 2003 “Integration of New Power and Steam Generation Facilities - Riyadh Refinery” Cogeneration Projects

Contract Award to AHC for Saudi Aramco Cogeneration Facilities

Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia - AHC has been awarded a prime lump-sum contract by Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) for the construction of cogeneration facilities at its Riyadh Refinery Plant.

Contract signing for the project took place on 03 June, 2003 at Saudi Aramco's headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. AHC is to provide overall services including project management, equipment/materials procurement, and construction, for the cogeneration facilities. Completion is scheduled in just 10 months, expected to complete in March 2004.

Saudi Aramco is actively planning power generation facilities to save electricity costs at the plants it operates. The Riyadh Refinery Plant project calls for the installation of 50-MW cogeneration facilities, comprising a combustion gas-turbine power generating system as well as a heat recovery steam generator.

Including the CVHR Crude Vacuum & Heater Replacement Project to be completed in September of this year, AHC has so far worked on more than 20 Aramco projects in the past 5 years. AHC hopes to maintain a long-term close relationship with Saudi Aamco.

AHC is a 100% Saudi owned construction company based in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia having multiple operating centers and executing large scale projects kingdom-wide. Established in 1982, AHC has a strong background in turnkey operations of both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon related projects.
